MEG BOWERSOX

Meg Bowersox is a museum educator and history, arts, and culture enthusiast who currently serves as the Manager of Gallery Interpretation at the Museum of the American Revolution in Philadelphia, PA. She has been with the Museum since its opening in 2017 and has previously worked at Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens and the Independence Seaport Museum. Meg earned her Master’s in Museum Education from The University of the Arts and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from William Patterson University. Meg’s artistic passion lies in textile design and photography and is rarely seen without her camera. Her passion for history comes from her grandfather and she is currently working on historical research on Elizabeth “Mumbet” Freeman, an enslaved woman from Massachusetts with an extraordinary story during the era of the American Revolution.
